Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy is the comprehensive evaluation and treatment of physical impairments and functional limitations caused by pain, disease, injury or disability.  PT utilizes therapeutic exercises, physical modalities, manual therapy, and patient education to help an individual maximize independence, restore function and improve overall quality of life.

Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy is used to help manage health conditions and enhance wellness. It involves the manipulation of the body’s soft tissue. Massage has been used in both Eastern and Western cultures, and was one of the earliest methods used to try and relieve pain. Massage therapy includes many techniques such as: relaxation, deep tissue, sports, cupping and much more.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is an effective treatment technique that provides quick pain relief by inserting a thin monofilament needle into the muscle which typically contains a trigger point responsible for pain.  By inserting a needle into the trigger point, a quick contraction or “muscle twitch” response is produced which signals relaxation of that muscle leading to decreased pain, increased flexibility and improved function.

Vestibular rehabilitation therapy

Specialized form of therapy aimed at reducing vertigo and dizziness, gaze instability, and imbalance due to problems related to the vestibular system (inner ear).   VRT can help with individuals with Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) and unilateral or bilateral vestibular hypofunction (decreased inner ear function) associated with Ménière's disease, labyrinthitis and vestibular neuritis.

Sports Rehabilitation

Specifically focused on the athletic population with the purpose of prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries.  We utilize exercises and stretches that specifically target the areas related to a particular sport to ensure the athlete’s return to full function as quickly and safely as possible.

Manual therapy

Form of  therapy in which the therapist uses his or her hands to put pressure on soft tissue and mobilize joints in an attempt to decrease pain caused by muscle spasm, muscle tension, and joint dysfunction.   These hands on techniques can reduce pain, restore mobility and improve overall function.   Various manual therapy techniques include but are not limited to: stretching, joint mobilizations, IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization), MET (muscle energy techniques.

post-surgical rehabilitation

Rehabilitation involving creating a specialized rehabilitation plan designed to promote full recovery to normal physical function by helping patients regain their strength, mobility and endurance after surgery as quickly and safely as possible.  Personalized rehab programs that address a ride range of post-operative conditions and diagnoses following: joint replacements, ACL repairs, rotator cuff repairs, spinal fusions and many other orthopedic surgeries.
